2025 Convention Call

The 57th Convention of the California State Association of Letter Carriers will convene at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport Hotel, 1333 Bayshore Hwy, Burlingame, CA 94010. The convention will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, and Saturday, August 23, 2025. On Thursday, August 21, 2025, CSALC will be working with the office of NALC Region 1 NBA Keisha Lewis to conduct joint training sessions.

Room rates in our block are $179 plus all applicable fees and taxes for single and double standard rooms, $204 for triples and $229 for quads. Deadline to book rooms is July 28, 2025.

Convention Week Schedule

Wednesday, August 20, 2025 — CSALC Board Meeting - 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Thursday, August 21, 2025 — Joint Training CSALC-NALC Region 1 - 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Thursday, August 21, 2025 — Welcoming reception by CSALC following the training classes.
Friday, August 22, 2025 — Convention Session 1 – 8:30 am – 4:00 pm.
Saturday, August 23, 2025 — Convention Session 2 – 8:30 am – Completion of business.
Saturday, August 23, 2025 — CSALC Board Meeting – one half hour after completion of convention session.

Delegate Registration – Complete and accurate delegate registration forms must be received by June 15, 2025. Badges and credentials will be created from the information that you return to me. Your branch delegate strength can be found on a separate form included in this mailing. All registration information must be submitted electronically. You can find the delegate registration Excel file below. Use the tabs in the lower left corner of the form to find instructions.

Delegate, Alternate and Guest Cards – These cards will be initiated from the registration form. Please provide separate Guest and Alternate lists indicating the status of the person listed. From the list you submit the official convention identification cards, and a copy will be returned to you for the signatures of your President and Secretary-Treasurer. The signed official identification cards are to be put in alphabetical order and returned to Mark Lesch, CSALC Secretary,14579 Golden Trails, Victorville, CA 92392-6147, no later than July 1, 2025.

Alternates and Guests – An alternate can only be admitted to the convention with written proof of election from his/her branch, or written evidence from the delegate for whom he/she is elected alternate, stating that the elected delegate is unable to attend the convention, in accordance with the NALC Constitution. Guest badges will be issued when your branch registers its delegation.

On Site Registration – Delegate registration will begin on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 7 pm, and continue Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. After 4:00 pm on Thursday delegates and guests may register with the Convention Committee at their booth.

When you register your delegates, please bring your copy of the credential cards in alphabetical order by last name. Registration will be done by the authorized person that was indicated on the submitted list (usually the President or Secretary-Treasurer) for the entire delegation. If the authorized person is not available, a letter must be presented signed by the President or Secretary-Treasurer identifying the person who will pick up the credentials. Resolution and Bylaw Amendments – Copies of the resolution and bylaw amendment forms can be found below. Amendments must be produced in triplicate and sent by USPS Mail to Mark Lesch, CSALC Secretary, 14579 Golden Trails, Victorville, CA 92392-6147. To appear in the booklet, submissions must be sent to me by July 1, 2025.

Convention Book Advertising

As in the past, the convention program will be supported by advertisements placed by businesses and branches. Please have your branch consider purchasing an ad thanking Host Branches 214 and 1280 for all their hard work, or wishing a successful convention to the delegates, etc.

The discounted rate for branches / state associations will be:

Quarter Page: $150
Half Page: $250
Full Page: $450
Inside Cover and Final Page: $550
